Best for those who know or are fascinated by the history of Türkiye and its sultans as the Harem units represent their inner world. The internal decoration and intricate design is quite mesmerizing. Some sections are more crowed than others. During our visit last month the chamber of Hurrem Sultan was closed for renovation but we visited several of private rooms used by sultan, queen mother, his chefs, and the black eunuchs etc.

This section is inside the palace, and you will need a separate ticket to visit. If you’re already here, it’s definitely worth it. The place is beautiful, and there is so much history within these walls that it really makes you wonder.nnTake your time to walk through, and be prepared—there are many people at any hour of the day. If possible, start your visit early.

Contained more than 400 rooms, it was home to the sultan's mother, the Valide sultan, the concubines and wives of the sultan and the rest of his family, including children.nThe Imperial Hall is majestic, built in the late XVI century.nAlso among the highlights: The Twin Kiosk / Apartments of the Crown Prince, the Privy chambers and the Golden Road.
