Visiting the Fondation Louis Vuitton is as much about experiencing Frank Gehry’s architecture as it is about the art inside. The building itself is undeniable—a complex, soaring structure that feels grand regardless of the weather. Even on a rainy day, the energy here is palpable, and the crowds are a testament to its allure. Regarding the current exhibition (featuring works by Gerhard Richter, among others), the curation is impressive. Even if the specific style of the artwork doesn't entirely align with your personal taste, the quality of the presentation and the scope of the show are objectively strong and well worth seeing. The staff throughout the museum were also notably kind and professional, managing the busy atmosphere with grace. However, there is a significant logistical issue that needs addressing. The layout for the cloakroom and the restrooms creates a chaotic bottleneck. The lines for checking coats, retrieving coats, and using the restroom all converge in the same narrow space. It became very difficult to distinguish who was queuing for what, leading to unnecessary confusion. A better system for line management or clearer signage in this specific area would greatly improve the visitor experience. Tip: Be mindful that entry times are strictly enforced, so arrive precisely on schedule. despite the cloakroom chaos, the artistic and architectural experience remains world-class.

This week was my fifth visit to this beautiful Louis Vuitton foundation. The exhibitions I've seen here include the Morozov brothers' art collection, Simon Hantaï (+fugues in color), Basquiat × Warhol, David Hokney, and now Gerhard Richter. (I regret not being there when there was a Mark Rothko exhibition.) The building itself, designed by Frank Gehry, is a work of art itself. I recommend everyone to visit this museum when there's an exhibition, as they've never disappointed me. I'm studying conservation and restoration, and I have to admit that the exhibitions they put on here are incredibly impressive. They feature artworks from all over the world, a compelling narrative with clear explanations, and a very comprehensive selection of art from the artist(s)/collection currently on display. I recommend buying a ticket online in advance, as it is simply convenient.

The art and the building itself are wonderful to see! The place is huge — much bigger than I imagined — and it’s such an enjoyable space to walk around. I spent about two hours exploring and still didn’t manage to see all the paintings. I wore heels, which I quickly realized wasn’t the best idea — I’d definitely recommend wearing something more comfortable next time since the venue is quite large!

It is an art museum and cultural center designed by architect Frank Gehry and opened in October 2014. The initiator of its creation was Bernard Arnault, the head of the LVMH group, who, after visiting the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao in 2001, suggested that Gehry build a chic Art Nouveau center. The project was officially announced in 2006, and construction was carried out from 2008 to 2014 on the territory of the Bois de Boulogne, on a site leased from the city of Paris for 55 years. The building is made in the deconstructivist style and consists of two main elements: the so-called "iceberg", formed by blocks of white ultra-strong concrete, and twelve giant glass "sails" with a total area of 13,500 m2, which seem to wrap around it. To implement this complex project, advanced 3D modeling technologies were used at that time, and each of the 3,600 glass and 19,000 concrete panels had to be manufactured individually. The 7,000 m2 building houses 11 exhibition galleries, 350-seat classrooms, a restaurant and multi-level terraces with views of the Eiffel Tower and La Defense Towers. The Foundation promotes contemporary art by presenting works from its own collection by Bernard Arnault and LVMH, as well as organizing large temporary exhibitions.

The building is so pretty and modern! They also have a dedicated bus to take visitors there making easy to go, entrance was fast, there is plenty to see. If I may suggest some things to improve is to expose a bigger variety of artists, and keep the cafe open until the place closes.
