It is a fantastic experience to see the Hagia Sophia. Unfortunately, tourists can only enter the lower part if they are Muslim. But this only takes away from the experience a little. It is worth going into the museum afterwards to learn more about its history. The entrance ticket is valid there as well.

Marhaba! I Went there for prayers. Fridays prayers queue is a bit longer. The Friday sermon start 1/2 hour after the adzhan. The architectural was very fascinating. It was formerly a church and a museum. You can feel the ottoman’s influence in there. Would love to visit again someday.

A very busy historic location that is full of tourist. Don’t buy combo tickets, just show up early in the morning just before the ticket booth opens and you will get in easily and stay ahead of the tour groups.

The mosque itself has amazing history and worth visiting—we arrived at 8:30am and even though the winter hours are stated for 9am opening, we were able to buy tickets and enter. When you go early enough, there’s essentially no-one there; we didn’t wait in line. All the tour groups arrive starting at 10am, it seems. One warning is that the ticket counter is deceptive. I was told one price for the mosque and museum, but this price is actually *per location*, meaning it is 50€ for the mosque and museum, per person. When we complained about this after entering the mosque (but without entering the museum), we were refused any refund for the museum portion. It seems you could be refunded if you didn’t enter either location, however. The museum was not really worth it, you can learn the same details from YouTube. It’s just a series of rooms with videos.
