St. Stephen’s Basilica was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we stepped inside, we were amazed by the stunning architecture, intricate details, and the peaceful yet grand atmosphere. Every corner of the basilica felt majestic and beautifully designed.
Climbing up to the tower was truly worth it — the view from the top completely took our breath away. Seeing the city from above was an unforgettable experience and made the visit even more special.
It’s definitely a must-see landmark and one of the most impressive places we visited.

We visited St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest with my wife on October 18, 2025, and it was an absolutely breathtaking experience.
The architecture is simply stunning. From the outside, the basilica looks grand and impressive, and once you step inside, the atmosphere immediately makes you slow down and just admire the beauty around you. Every detail feels thoughtful, elegant, and full of history.
The interior is incredibly rich and harmonious at the same time. Beautifully decorated, peaceful, and inspiring. It’s a place where you can truly feel the spirit of Budapest and enjoy a moment of calm, even when the city outside is busy.
We spent time just walking around, looking up, taking it all in, and enjoying the moment together. It’s one of those places that leaves you with warm emotions and a lasting impression.
If you are visiting Budapest, St. Stephen’s Basilica is a mustsee landmark. An iconic place with amazing architecture, great energy, and unforgettable vibes. Highly recommended!

Absolutely breathtaking basilica — truly magnificent. The Holy Right Hand relic is a must-see in Budapest and was very special to experience in person.
The entrance fee for the basilica is reasonable, and the panoramic view from the dome is stunning. However, the treasury felt more like a small storage exhibition from the basilica itself — there wasn’t much to see, and it’s quite small. I can understand why it’s combined with the panorama ticket, as it might not attract many visitors on its own (sorry!).
The organization could be improved and made more tourist-friendly, especially for those who want to visit the treasury and the panorama after seeing the inside of the basilica, the way directions are quite confusing.
