What a wonderful space. The building is incredible, the staff are very helpful and the exhibitions are well curated and varied.
We bought a membership for the year which allows entry into any exhibition without the need for advanced ticket purchasing.
Great little cafe in the basement.

The gallery is very well laid out, though the signage downstairs could be clearer. One half is organised historically and the other half devoted to major artists. We were there for the Turner and Constable exhibition which was really excellent. The cafe is pricey but the food and coffee were good. There was one gluten free option and one vegan option.

I work 4 days a week now. A joy and a privilege. Which means there's a weekday going begging. On this particular free Friday it was the Lee Miller Exhibition at the Tate Modern in Pimlico (Victoria Line). We had 2:45pm tickets. A busy time with a lunch time and just post-lunch time crowd. I'd suggest an early morning ticket time next time (perhaps good advice for any popular exhibition). All the photos were well laid out in reasonably spacious areas though you need to be careful not to obscure others' views as many were small images and you just needed to be almost on top of it to see. The entire exhibition took around 2 hours, comfortably, to go around. But, of course, there is so much more to see at the Tate Britain. It'a an entire meal in itself.
