Cave Tubing and Zipline Adventure from Belize City

Once at the entrance of the cave system, it’s time for your cave tubing adventure through the ancient Maya underworld. Inside, you’ll see intricate crystalline formations that line the cave with a majestic rise and fall of stalagmites and stalactites that add to the serene richness and grandiose of Xibalba as it’s known. If there’s time, and you’re open to added adventure, our guides may stop at the mini waterfall and swimming area. After leaving the falls, you’ll emerge into the sunlight and free float downstream, ushered by the gentle current and little rapids, to the harmony of birds and natural wildlife which routes back to where the tour started.
It’s then on to zip-lining which gives you a bird’s eye view of Belize’s jungle while soaring through the treetops at high speed. It’s a short walk over to the equipment area where our expert guides will help outfit you in the required equipment.

Itinerary

Cave Tubing and ZipLine: This combo tour will depart from Belize City and head west in air-conditioned comfort on paved roads for a 45-minute drive towards Jaguar Paw. Once at the outpost, you will meet your tour guides who will issue inflatable tubes, headlamps, and life vests. You’ll be given a basic orientation and safety briefing before heading off on a 30-minute hike, which includes wading through a few knee-deep water streams. Don’t let the walk worry you, though; as it’s mostly on flat terrain, it is enjoyable and informative. The rainforest canopy shades it, and our tour guides will point out flora and fauna noteworthy to the area.

Dennis Jr did a great job showing us around Belize! We did the cave tubing and the Mayan ruins. He picked us up from the cruise terminal, drove us around, provided lunch, guided us through the above mentioned activities, and took us back to the ship. 5 stars and would highly recommend and do it again!

We had a great time with Dennis and Dennis Jr. They kept us entertained on the drive out and back, sharing stories about their life in Belize. We learned so much about the local rainforest plants on the short walk to the cave tour. There we heard all about the structure, history, and traditions of the caves. For lunch, they brought us chicken tamales, made in the Mayan tradition. I’ve had a few different tamales, and these ones are by far the best I’ve had.

We experienced this excursion on February 20, 2024. I’ve done a lot of excursions and this is by far been the best one. Dennis Jr. and Nelson were excellent guides. They were very knowledgeable About the island and were able to answer any questions we had. They didn’t rush us as the cruise excursions do, we even had more time to float down the river as we watched all the cruise members get off this excursions earlier. We booked the cave tubing and zip lines. As soon as I booked this, I received a text from the owner and they were very detailed about where to meet them. Please don’t think twice about booking with this company, they’re awesome And I would definitely be back !!!!!!

Wonderful experience with Brett and Dennis. They were very informative about everything Belize - the history, the culture, the flora and fauna. They only take small groups so we ended up having a private tour. The cave tubing was so unique and my kids loved the zip lining. Tamale lunch was yummy too! Def recommend booking this tour over the large cruise ship group ones!

Dennis and his son made this the highlight of our trip! Drifting down the Mayan River was pure calm, zip-lining through the treetops was an absolute rush, and riding horses through the jungle felt like stepping into another world. They were so down-to-earth and made everything easy and fun. Can’t recommend them enough!
